Georgetown, SC – Enterprise Creek Anchorage
26.83 nm 4.5 hours underway
The day was bookended with highlights.
We woke up to a brisk 52-degree morning and while we thought it was great sleeping weather—Wimbi wanted absolutely none of it.

We’ve been loosely traveling alongside a boat called No Shoes Daze, a 45-foot Leopard power cat. “Traveling” might be a generous term, but somehow we keep crossing paths—first on the dock in Charleston, then again at anchor in Beaufort, and now here in Georgetown.
Through Nebo—the app Loopers use to connect, swap notes, and organize the ever-important docktails—we made a plan to meet up with Chuck and Pam for breakfast at a local spot called Thomas’.
The meal? Mediocre. The company? Top-notch.
Chuck and Pam started their journey in Marathon and are making their way to Maine. They’re the kind of people you instantly enjoy—easy conversation, shared stories, and that mutual understanding that comes from living this slightly unconventional life. Unfortunately for us, they’re pressing pause for a couple of weeks, so our paths likely won’t cross again anytime soon.
After breakfast, we set off for what turned out to be a short and uneventful jaunt.

We had originally considered heading to Wacca Wache, but instead decided to push on to an anchorage that had come highly recommended. Earlier this spring, the AGLCA hosted mentoring sessions where we connected with seasoned Loopers. Roxanne and Dan quickly became go-to resources for us—generous with their knowledge and spot-on with their advice. They had shared coordinates for this particular anchorage, calling it one of their favorites.
They hadn’t steered us wrong yet, so we trusted them again.
And they weren’t wrong.
We dropped anchor just before 3:00, and everything about the spot felt right. The anchor bit immediately—no second tries, no creeping, no drama.
The evening unfolded exactly how you hope an anchorage will—calm, quiet, and still. Not a hint of dragging, barely a ripple of movement.
A pretty perfect set of bookends.
